The fatal incident involved Amazon Air Flight 7598, a Boeing 767-33A operated by 21 Air LLC.

According to National Transportation Safety Board Chair Jennifer Homendy, the aircraft had arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was landing on Runway 30 when it overran the paved surface.

The plane struck navigational aids before hitting a 2012 white Ford Econoline van owned by Professional Ocean Service Corporation, an airline contract cleaning company.

Seven people were inside the van at the time.

The aircraft then broke through a perimeter fence and struck a Toyota Corolla Cross LE traveling on Northwest 67th Avenue.

Authorities confirmed that all five people who died, including Rolando Aleman Leon, were occupants of the two vehicles struck by the aircraft.
